Colmerastrat

INDEX

This procedure enhances the stability, height, and projection of the nasal tip by providing support to the nasal septum (the cartilage dividing the left and right sides of the nose). Using cartilage
from
the ear or the nasal septum, it creates a “strut” within the columella to build a foundation that supports the nasal tip from within.

While sometimes performed independently, it is an important foundational procedure often combined with nasal tip reduction, septal extension, and auricular cartilage grafting.

This procedure is ideal for those who

: – Experience a nose tip that easily droops – Notice their nose tip appears flattened in profile – Wish to refine their nose tip but are concerned about instability

Recommended for people like this

  • I want to stabilize the position and orientation of the nose tip.
  • The tip of the nose tends to droop when smiling.
  • To stabilize the results of nasal tip reduction and septal extension
  • To prevent future setbacks or deformations

Features of Our Nasal Tip Reshaping

1. The Cormer-Lestrade Method to Prevent Backtracking

Conventional tip rhinoplasty often involves suturing the alar cartilage or grafting ear cartilage onto the nasal tip, but these methods may experience relapse over time. Our
clinic employs the Colmera Strut technique. By reinforcing the nasal column with grafted cartilage, we achieve a well-defined nasal tip projection and deliver long-term, stable results.

2. Custom-made designs tailored to your facial features

We design a natural, refined nasal tip that considers the overall balance of your face, rather than simply making it tall and narrow. Based on simulations and your ideal image photos, we take ample time
for consultation on the day of surgery.

3. A delicate approach by specialists

Performed by board-certified plastic and cosmetic surgeons. We achieve both safety and aesthetic appeal, resulting in a natural-looking nose tip that feels completely natural.

Features of Our Clinic’s Cormerlastrat

Colmerastrat is a treatment that not only contributes
to the beauty of the finished result but also significantly impacts long-term stability.

At our clinic, we prioritize creating the necessarysupport
for the
nasal tip at the appropriate position and angle, rather than simply adding height.

We place particular emphasis on the following points.

  • How to support without making the nose tip too stiff
  • Natural nasal bridge line from both front and side views
  • Fixation considering the balance of forces with the nasal septum and nasal tip

This aims to achieve a stable nasal tip formation without unnatural tension.

Treatment Process

Design

Based on preoperative simulations and the patient’s ideal nasal image, we meticulously confirm the height, direction
, and visibility of the nasal tip and columella. We design the optimal position and angle for
support while considering
balance with other nasal procedures. Final confirmation and minor adjustments are performed on the day of surgery
.

Anesthesia

In most cases, it is performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia when combined with other nasal surgeries. When performed
as a standalone procedure, it may be possible to use local anesthesia depending on the specifics.

surgery

The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (excluding combined procedures). The
incision is made inside the nasal cavity or at the base of the columella, leaving virtually no visible scarring externally. Cartilage
is properly secured to enhance the stability of the nasal tip.
