| Treatment POINT | This patient underwent rhinoplasty (septal extension, tip refinement, custom prosthesis placement, nasal bridge mesh removal) and forehead/temple fat grafting. Previously, a dissolvable mesh had been placed in the nasal bridge at another clinic. The patient desired a more defined nasal bridge and correction of an upturned, short nasal tip. The mesh, which should have dissolved, remained completely intact. We removed it entirely and replaced it with a custom prosthesis. Additionally, we extended the nasal tip diagonally downward using a nasal extension technique employing auricular cartilage. Both the forehead and nose blend beautifully into the face. Despite the significant change, the result looks so natural it appears as if she always had this nose. It would be nearly impossible for someone meeting her for the first time to notice. |
