Nasal tip reduction

INDEX

This procedure refines a rounded or thick nasal
tip into a sleek, sharp appearance by adjusting the cartilage and subcutaneous tissue that form the tip. Nasal tip
reduction techniques include methods to
reduce
volume at the tip and techniques
to narrow the appearance by bringing the lateral cartilages closer together. The appropriate surgical approach is selected based on the shape of the nose and the thickness of the skin.

This procedure is ideal for concerns such as “a rounded nose tip,” “worries about a bulbous nose,” or
“desiring a narrower nose tip width when viewed from the front.”

Recommended for people like this

  • Concerned about the roundness or bulbousness of the tip of the nose
  • I want to make my nose look slimmer and more refined.
  • I want both the profile and the front view to have a refined impression.
  • Seeking natural changes without appearing unnatural

Features of Our Nasal Tip Reduction Surgery

Nasal tip reduction is a procedure that can yield noticeable changes, yet it also carries a risk of appearing unnatural depending on the technique used.

At our clinic, we prioritize designing noses that are neither overly thin nor overly pointed, placing the highest importance on achieving overall balance with the entire nose
.

We place particular emphasis on the following points.

  • Preserve the natural roundness of the tip of the nose to an appropriate degree.
  • Carefully adjust asymmetry and deviation of the nasal tip
  • Perform fixation and treatment considering skin thickness and elasticity.

This aims to create a beautiful nasal tip line from all anglesfront, side, and profile.

Treatment Process

Design

Based on preoperative simulations and the patient’s ideal image, we meticulously confirm the roundness, height, and orientation of the nasal tip. Since nasal
tip reduction can dramatically alter appearance with even minor adjustments, we ensure ample time on the day of surgery to finalize the design.

Anesthesia

For standalone procedures, local anesthesia is possible. For patients
with significant anxiety or those undergoing additional procedures, intravenous sedation may also be used.

surgery

The surgery takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. Since
the incision is made inside the nostrils, there are virtually no visible scars on the outside. Cartilage and subcutaneous tissue are carefully
adjusted and secured to ensure the tip of the nose maintains a natural shape.
