Septoplasty is a rhinoplasty procedure that reinforces the nasal septum cartilage—located at the center of the nose—by grafting ear cartilage or rib cartilage. This strengthens the foundation to achieve an ideal balance in the height, angle, and shape of the nasal tip. It is a popular choice for individuals concerned about the shape of their nose , such as the roundness or angle of the tip.

Features of Our Nasal Septum Extension Procedure
1. Design calculated for overall facial balance
The nose is centrally located on the face and is a crucial feature that significantly influences the overall impression. At LIVIN CLINIC, we prioritize not only refining the nose itself but also adding dimensionality to the midface and beautifully balancing the entire facial structure. Rhinoplasty not only enhances the nose but also accentuates the eyes, mouth, and facial contours, leading to a more refined appearance.
2. A finish that blends naturally
We pursue a natural finish that looks as though it were born that way, even while achieving significant changes. We prioritize harmony with your face, carefully considering your profile, expressions, and overall balance.
3. A proprietary fixation method that minimizes relapse even with auricular cartilage
It is commonly said that “ear cartilage yields limited results and is prone to relapse.” However
, at our clinic, we securely fix cartilage from both ears to the nasal septum using a specialized technique. This achieves significant changes comparable to rib cartilage and a stable nasal tip with minimal relapse.
This surgical technique was introduced by Dr. Shin’gyo, Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery, in the professional journal “PEPARS No. 195” as “Septum Extension Using Auricular Cartilage.” It has become a bestseller and is widely supported by many plastic surgeons.
※Depending on the condition of your nose and your preferences, we may recommend septal extension using rib cartilage.
Treatment Process
